Yuinohama Marine Park

結の浜マリンパーク

MOST POPULAR

OVERVIEW

A stone’s throw from Isahaya city center, Yuinohama Marine Park faces Tachibana Bay in Nagasaki’s east. The man-made beach boasts clear, calm waters protected by a break wall and two deserted islands sitting just off shore.

The rounder island, nicknamed Kamejima or ‘Turtle Island’ pays tribute to the endangered Loggerhead turtles that come to lay their eggs on Yuinohama’s silky smooth sand. In 2013 seventy hatchlings were welcomed to the island, the highest number in the immediate area.

Highly popular with the locals, the park boasts a handful of barbeque and picnicking areas. Barbeque rental, meat platters and light meals are available during summer months from the stalls near the beach house.

Just off shore, shark nets and a floating pontoon ensure a safe and enjoyable swim for all. Open sea view camping sites are available at reasonable prices for those who want to extend their stay.
